‘Wildlife Wranglers: Making Cougar Crossings' is a documentary about how wildlife filmmakers create amazing, intimate and compelling visual images of wild animals living in their natural environment. In a first-hand and experiential style, one of western Canada's up and coming wildlife filmmakers, director Matthew Todd Paproski, hosts Season One of this 13 part by 22:30 minute documentary television series.
The show intertwines the training of Aurora , a young wolf pup, for the series season finale in Alberta ; with candid behind the scenes footage working with Roxy and Chaos, two cougar cubs, in documentary film “Cougar Crossings” made recently in British Columbia .
Mr. Paproski's objective in producing this series is to “entertain the audience by sharing the personalities of the animals. The series will also educate the audience about the survival needs of these animals and how increasing interactions with people and our economic activities are detrimental to their well being”.
This series is by leading Albertan talent. Stunning visuals are cut by associate producer Rob Firlotte and editor Dennis Kambeitz of Post Express to score by Bruce Leitl and Alec Harrison of Six Degrees Music (except library and title song Run by Tin Machine and David Bowie) and mix by Brad Belcher of GGRP.
Web work by Greg MacDonald of Morpheus Studios. Wrangling by Troy Paproski and Graham Twomey.
Additionally, associate producer Bruce Garrison, a financial advisor from Australia & US is involved.
